Key Responsibilities
- Provides professional advice on the implementation of monitoring, evaluation, and research plans.
- Advises the Ministry on the design and implementation of policies using results from monitoring, evaluation, and research.
- Guides the development of Sector performance monitoring frameworks.
- Develops and manages the use of evaluation frameworks and guidelines.
- Manages evaluation of policies and monitors implementation of approved evaluation recommendations.
- Develops, manages, and facilitates implementation of the research agenda/plan.
- Manages the development and implementation of the Sector Statistical Strategy and Plan.
- Manages the development and implementation of Data Quality Assurance Standards in line with the Botswana Data Quality Assessment Framework.
- Coordinates the design of data collection tools, data collection, and analysis.
- Develops, facilitates, and monitors the implementation of the Knowledge Management Strategy.
- Manages the development and sustenance of strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
- Creates awareness on the principles of Knowledge Management, Evaluation, Research, and how they can impact the performance of the Ministry.
- Undertakes any other related duties as required to meet exigencies of the service.
Requirements
- Degree in either one of the following: Monitoring and Evaluation/Research/ Statistical/Public Policy/Public Administration/Business Administration/Strategic Management/Economics, or related Social Sciences discipline.
- Master’s Degree in the above disciplines will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience in either of the following areas: Monitoring and Evaluation/Research and Development/Policy Development, Analysis and Review/Data and Statistical Analysis/Provision of M&E support to Organisational Change/Risk Management within a reputable private or public institution, with two (2) years having been served at D2 grade or equivalent level in Private/Parastatal Institutions.

Salary
D1 (P 386,892 – P 426,660) per annum
