Cloud Solutions Specialist
To design, deploy, and support secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud solutions while ensuring reliable end-to-end operation of the cloud platform.
The main duties include but are not limited to:
- Ensure the maintenance and operation of cloud management platforms and associated infrastructure and sub systems
- Provide Level 1/2 technical support for cloud platform issues.
- Ensure 24/7 availability and stability on the cloud platform and its sub systems
- Architect secure, scalable, and highly available customer cloud solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical cloud solution designs.
- Develop customer solution design documents (HLDs and LLDs).
- Present and defend technical architectures to customers.
- Provision cloud resources (compute, storage, networking, security).
- Implement secure hybrid connectivity (VPN, MPLS).
- Implement Identity & Access Management (IAM) policies and RBAC.
- Configure and manage virtual networks (VPC, subnets, routing, etc).
- Deploy and manage virtual datacenters (VDCs) (virtual machines, IAC and containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Perform platform monitoring, alerting, and performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies.
- Apply security hardening and vulnerability remediation.
- Support compliance requirements (ISO 27001, data protection regulations, etc).
- Optimize customer environments for cost efficiency.
- Maintain technical documentation and configuration records.
- Collaborate with sales teams during pre-sales engagements.
- Participate in platform upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Conduct proof of concepts (POCs) for new cloud services.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of cloud standards and governance frameworks.
- Contribute to weekly incidents/tickets review with vendors or 3rd party support
- Inform and advice SMC and management on issues related to systems operations.
- Contribute to QoS reports through coordination with Service Management Center.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters in Computer Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
- Certifications will be an added advantage
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- Microsoft Azure – Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect
- Google Cloud – Associate Cloud Engineer
- Huawei Certified ICT Associate (HCIA) – Cloud Computing
- 2 years experience in an IT and Cloud environment with emphasis on architecting and supporting cloud deployments
