Position: High School Biology and Science Teacher

Position Summary

John Mackenzie High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Teacher to join its academic team.
The ideal candidate will inspire students to achieve high standards, foster a positive, child-centered and inclusive

The school is an independent, co-educational English medium private school based in Francistown, Botswana.
Established in 1899, it has a long-standing history of academic excellence. The school offers Cambridge Primary Checkpoint,
IGCSE, AS and A Levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Science to Form 1 students and Biology to Forms 2, 3, and 4, including AS & A Level
• Deliver engaging lessons and develop lesson plans for diverse learning styles
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and organized classroom environment
• Monitor and evaluate student progress to support academic achievement
• Collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, and engage with parents/guardians

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant subject area
• Proven experience in high school teaching
• Experience teaching Biology at IGCSE, AS, and A Level is required
• Strong communication and leadership skills
