Job Description

Procurement Administrator (3 Year Contract)

Organisation: Botswana Fibre Networks (BOFINET)

Reporting to the Procurement Specialist, the incumbent shall be responsible for the implementation of procurement requirements to ensure achievement of organisational strategic objectives. The incumbent shall execute sourcing of goods and services that delivers competitive capability in the key areas of cost and quality.

Key Performance Areas

  • Conduct supplier/vendor research for best price and value, generate and submit purchase orders, and handle the procure-to-pay (invoicing) process.
  • Conduct supplier risk assessment to ensure uninterrupted supply of goods and services.
  • Monitor market trends and recommend appropriate practical solutions to ensure continuity.
  • Monitor spending and adherence to budget and recommend variances as necessary.
  • Research and identify service providers and suppliers.
  • Generate various procurement reports.
  • Track supplier lead times to ensure timeous delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

The candidates should have attained the following:

  • Degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • 3 years’ experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management with at least 2 years in a systemized procurement and supply chain environment.
  • CIPS Membership is an added advantage.
