Sustainability Coordinator

Role Purpose

Plans and coordinates the implementation of the Lucara Botswana Sustainability Strategy in accordance with the applicable environmental legislation and facilitates communication on sustainability with key internal and external stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Sociology or other natural sciences degree
• 5 years’ experience working in sustainability, of which 2 years is at a management or supervisory level
• Experience in developing sustainability reports based on GRI, SASB, TCFD, TNFD is advantageous
• Knowledge of implementing ESG strategies in alignment with UNGC, SDGs, and IFC Performance Standards
• Knowledge of applicable mining legislation, i.e. Mines, Quarries, Works and Machinery Act
• Knowledge of Botswana environmental laws
• Training in public speaking
• Light vehicle driver’s license
• Supervisory training course
