Artisan Auto Electrician – MP Mining
Artisan auto electricians are responsible for repairing and maintaining the electrical system in light and passenger vehicles, offroad and construction machinery. Responsibilities include troubleshooting ignition, lighting sound and navigation systems using computerized diagnostic equipment, replacing faulty parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair & Maintenance: repairing or replacing faulty wiring, alternators, starters, batteries and electronic components.
- Diagnostics: using computerized equipment and tools to pinpoint electrical faults in a vehicle.
- Installation: Installing new/replacement parts to restore a vehicle to full functionality.
- System Testing: Testing components after repairs to ensure proper functionality and safety.
- Documentation: Updating vehicle records.
Requirements
- O’level /BGCSE plus NCC in Auto Electrical with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience.
- Technical knowledge: a deep understanding of modern vehicle electrical systems and wiring diagrams.
- Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose complex, intermittent electrical faults.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using specialized diagnostic tools and hand tools, and knowledge of vehicle computer systems (i.e. M.A.N, Iveco, Mercedes Benz, Scania trucks and buses etc.)
- Individual must work with minimum supervision.
