Motor Vehicle Accident Fund invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following position:
Position: Financial Accountant
Main Purpose of the Job
Responsible for coordinating the financial accounting functions of the MVA Fund including processing of payments and receipts of income and ensuring that transactions are recorded accurately in the General Ledger. The role monitors the MVA Fund cash flow position for the preparation of cash flow forecasts and prepares the audit schedules, reviews/prepares the monthly payroll, maintains the General Ledger and prepares Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Financial Statements.
Position Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
- Membership of an international professional accountancy institution (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, BICA and ACA).
Relevant Experience
- At least 5–6 years relevant financial accounting experience with demonstrable supervisory experience in a computerized accounting environment.
- Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage.
