Site Engineer – Bothakga Burrow Botswana
Job Description
Bothakga Burrow is a 100% citizen owned multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy firm which is headquartered in Gaborone. We provide consultancy services covering a broad spectrum of Engineering works to improve the quality and standard of living in the urban and rural environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Executing construction works in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Setting out and level control.
- Supervising subcontractors and site labour.
- Ensuring quality control, coordinating inspections with consultants and authorities.
- Monitoring daily progress and productivity and supporting site management with planning and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Registered with ERB as a Registered or Professional Engineer.
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Site Engineer.
- Proven experience in site-based construction, buildings (residential, high-rise), civil and infrastructure works (roads, utilities and drainage).
- Experience working with main contractors or consultants.
- Basic understanding of construction contracts (FIDIC, NEC, JBCC).
- Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.
- Registration with Project Management Professional and PRINCE 2 will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Basic planning and scheduling awareness, quantity tracking and material take-off.
