Job Description
Bothakga Burrow is a 100% citizen owned multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy firm which is headquartered in Gaborone. We provide consultancy services covering a broad spectrum of Engineering works to improve the quality and standard of living in the urban and rural environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall management of site operations.
- Supervision of engineers, foremen, contractors and general labour.
- Liaison with client representatives, consultants and authorities.
- Managing site resources, overseeing quality control and inspections.
- Planning and scheduling and able to interpret drawings.
Requirements
- Higher National Diploma in Construction Management / Civil Engineering.
- Registered with ERB as a professional.
- At least 8 years’ construction experience of which 3 years as a Site Agent.
- Proven experience in managing projects from start to completion in civil engineering works (roads, bridges, drainage, and utilities).
- Experience of major contract forms (FIDIC, NEC).
- Proficient in MS Projects.
- Basic knowledge of Primavera P6 / MS Project will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of construction methodology, planning and schedules.
- Cost awareness and budget control.
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications, claims variations and change management.
- Strong people management skills.
