Estimator / Quantity Surveyor – Bothakga Burrow Botswana
Job Description
Bothakga Burrow is a 100% citizen owned multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy firm which is headquartered in Gaborone. We provide consultancy services covering a broad spectrum of Engineering works to improve the quality and standard of living in the urban and rural environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing cost estimates and budgets.
- Quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
- Preparing BOQs and pricing schedules.
- Risk analysis and cost forecasting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
- Registered with ERB as a Professional with at least 8 years’ experience as an Estimator.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced), MS Word and Outlook.
- Knowledgeable in Estimating and QS softwares.
- Knowledge of MS projects / Primavera will be an added advantage.
- Strong measurement and estimating skills.
- Excellent understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Knowledge of forms of construction (FIDIC, NEC, JBCC).
- Understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Knowledge of standards forms of contract (i.e FIDIC, NEC, JBCC).
- Cost planning and cash flow forecasting, procurement and sub contract management, commercial risk management.
