Job Description

Responsible for continuously assessing, monitoring, and reporting on the credit risk profile of the institution’s lending portfolio, to identify emerging risks, ensure adherence to credit policies, support risk mitigation strategies, and provide insights that help the institution maintain a healthy balance between risk and return. The analyst plays a key role in ensuring credit exposures remain within the defined risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications required

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit risk regulation ( IFRS 9) and credit risk management frameworks.

Experience required

  • 5 years of experience in credit risk management, with a focus on ongoing monitoring and portfolio management.
  • Extensive experience in managing a team and working in a regulated financial
  • institution environment.
  • Proven track record in early identification of credit risks and successful management of problem loans.
  • Agric Lending is an added advantage
