Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organising, directing the development and implementation of human resources and administrative strategies, policies, systems and practices that support the achievement of the Board’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Participating in the development of BAMB’s overall corporate strategy.
- Leading the development and implementation of HR strategy, aligned to the corporate strategy.
- Implementing talent management strategies aimed at attracting and retaining critical staff and building succession pipelines.
- Ensuring existence and implementation of competitive and sustainable reward and retention policies.
- Driving performance management systems aimed at improving productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Promoting ethical business conduct and fostering a culture of integrity and accountability.
- Fostering positive employee relations and reducing conflict through improved communication and engagement.
- Establishing learning and development programmes to enhance staff skills.
- Ensuring cost-effective delivery of Administration functions (records, insurance, fleet management, security, and office support).
- Developing and overseeing employee welfare programmes.
- Managing HR and administration internal controls and governance to minimise risks.
- Leading culture and transformation initiatives.
- Advising management and the Board on HR issues.
Requirements
- A Degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Industrial Psychology, or equivalent.
- A Master’s Degree presents a distinct advantage.
- A minimum of ten (10) years post-graduate experience, with at least five (5) years at senior management level.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing HR policies, systems and internal controls in a medium to large organisation.
