Job Description
SENIOR ENGINEER: ROADS
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of conceptual and detail design, construction and contract management of engineering projects in Botswana and other countries in Africa with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
Main duties will include: proposal preparation, production of geometric road design, drainage design and preparation of schedules of quantities and specifications; at least 2 years’ site project supervision and co-ordination of team members.
The successful candidate should have experience with the design and construction of urban and rural roads (national roads design experience is preferable) and/or railway infrastructure development using AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Project software and other Engineering Design software.
These positions require hands-on Professionals with strong leadership skills who are able to confidently and appropriately assert themselves, make prudent decisions and effectively solve problems. The candidates will be expected to manage & supervise staff, resolve conflict, deliver to deadlines; and maintain quality and ISO standards and procedures. These roles will involve some regional travel.
