Overview

AECI Botswana (Pty) Ltd is seeking three qualified LBS Technicians to join its team at Jwaneng Debswana Mine. This role focuses on providing maintenance and calibration support for electronic blasting equipment and related systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

-Perform maintenance, service, and inspection of fixed and mobile electronic blasting equipment.

-Calibrate and troubleshoot Mobile Charging Units (MCUs).

-Provide on-site technical assistance to clients and project managers.

-Conduct fault-finding and repairs of LBS systems.

-Support site teams on blasting automation and integration.

-Manage and maintain documentation of services and calibrations.

-Ensure compliance with AECI standards and client-specific requirements.

-Liaise with AECI clients and site personnel.

-Assist with equipment management and inventory tracking.

-Maintain clean and safe work areas.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills Requirements

-At least a Diploma or NCC in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).

-Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintenance of electronic or explosives equipment.

-Valid Class B Driver’s Licence.

-Experience in LBS or blasting systems is highly preferred.

-Must be a citizen of Botswana.

-Fluent in both Setswana and English.

-Knowledge of AECI electronic products is an advantage.

-Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.
