Director – IT & Digital Transformation – Orange Botswana

Consumer Marketing Manager

Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will spearhead the evolution, quality, security, and resilience of Orange Botswana’s IT systems and digital services. This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary leader to drive digital transformation and innovation, ensuring our technology platforms support our business goals and deliver exceptional value to our clients.

The main duties include but are not limited to:

• Design, implement, and annually update the Organisation’s IT and Digital Strategy.
• Oversee the integrity and documentation of IT activities, processes, and systems.
• Manage third-party service providers and ensure seamless coordination of outsourced activities.
• Foster strong collaboration across departments to align IT initiatives with business needs.
• Promote digital literacy across the organisation, ensuring internal clients effectively utilise IT tools.
• Measure client satisfaction and continuously improve service delivery through regular surveys.
• Lead Orange Botswana’s digital transformation into a big data-driven and agile organisation.
• Ensure prompt resolution of IT incidents, with monthly reporting to the CEO.
• Drive initiatives that reduce the environmental impact of IT operations.

• Proven experience in IT project management and strategic planning.
• Strong leadership and delegation skills, with the ability to manage high-performing teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A strong technical background in IT systems, infrastructure, software, and development.
• Demonstrated experience in driving business transformation through technology.
• The ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• A recognised project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
• A Master’s Degree in a relevant field is a strong advantage.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the IT and security domain, with at least 2 years in senior management.
• Experience in managing local networks in Windows environments
• Experience in server and web server administration and hosted environments
• Experience in leading outsourced IT projects
• Systems roll out / implementation experience.
