Position Purpose

The Manager: Data Protection is a critical leader within the organization, responsible for overseeing and implementing data protection measures to protect sensitive data and personal data. This role is responsible for administering the Data Protection Act and carry out the due diligence processes to ensure adherence to the Act. The role is responsible for protection of personal data and to ensure that the privacy of individuals in relation to their personal data is maintained.

This role involves strategic planning, policy development, risk management, and ensuring the overall data protection of the organization. Manager: Data Protection is responsible for developing and managing the organizations and personal data protection.

It leads incident response efforts, assesses risks, and ensures compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organisation and personal data.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Law/Data Science/Information Technology/Enterprise Risk Management or other related field from a reputable institution.
• Data Protection and/or Privacy certification
• Five (5) year’s work experience in personal data protection, ensuring data protection compliance, security of data, data processing or related field in Government, Parastatal or Private Sector.
• Utility Industry experience is an added advantage.

Salary: An attractive Salary Package commensurate to the market

Leave: 30 working days per annum

Pension: A Contributory Pension Scheme (16.5% WUC and 4% Employee)
