JOB TITLE-

LOCATION: CAMPS I REPORTING TO: HEAD WAITER

JOB PURPOSE

The Waiter / Waitress is responsible for contributing to a memorable dining experience for guests by taking and delivering food and beverage orders and maintaining clean and well organized and attractive dining areas.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

MEAL SERVICE

• Greet and welcome guests.
• Take food and beverage orders from guests, noting preferences and answers questions from guests.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure a seamless and efficient delivery of meals and beverages.
• In a friendly and polite manner, request feedback from guests during meal service. Observe guest reaction to meals.
• Provide guest feedback and observations to Kitchen Staff and management.
• Serve guests according to quality and best practice standards including ensuring guests have the appropriate cutlery for the meals.
• Promptly replace cutlery or service items if needed.
• Promptly respond to guest requests and make recommendations if appropriate.
• Serve guest beverages during meal service. Open wine bottles in the correct manner. Promptly note when guest glasses need to be refilled and offer guests a refill.
• Set dining areas in advance of guest mealtimes. Make sure the areas are set according to quality standards, are well presented and inviting to guests. Set tables or areas for special occasions.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.

QUALIFICATIONSAND EXPERIENCE

• Senior Secondary School Certificate (BGCSE).
• Previous experience (2 years) in a similar role is highly preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE

• Current Food Handlers Health Certificate.
• Certificate in Food & Beverage Service or similar would be advantageous.
