Senior Financial Planner – Alexander Forbes

Job Description

Alexander Forbes Solutions Botswana is inviting interested candidates to apply for the position of Senior Financial Planner. The individual will report to the Head of Alexforbes Solutions.

The role

To provide holistic financial planning and investment advice to clients by identifyingtheir investment and lifestyle needs and objectives. The role includes developing and managing relationships with key personnel within assigned corporate accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring alignment with investment strategies

Key Performance Areas

Business Developments Relationship Management

• Develop and implement strategies to secure new business from existing and potential clients
• Build and strengthen relationships with key corporate stakeholders
• Source new business through referrals and corporate partnerships

Financial Planning 4* Advisory

• Assess client investment needs, risk tolerance, and personal financial objectives
• Ensure alignment with Financial Planning Consultants’ house views
• Provide estate planning, risk cover, and holistic financial planning services
• Educate clients on investment principles, risk vs. reward, and market trends

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure clients’ investment portfolios align with company investment philosophy
• Provide up-to-date information on investment portfolio performance
• Address and resolve client concerns, queries, and complaints

Qualifications/ Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• CFP or CFA qualification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a financial advisory role

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong financiaI plann ing expertise
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and proactively
• Strong client service orientation and attention to detail
• Knowledge of financial services, investment vehicles, and tax regulations
