Materials Engineer – Bango Trading

Job Description

MAIN DUTY: To ensure the quality and appropriateness of materials used in the projects match the set standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct tests on materials to ensure they meet project specifications and standards.
t
Maintain detailed records of material tests, approvals, and any corrective actions taken.
t
Work closely with other engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
t
Assess and select appropriate materials for road construction based on their properties, cost,
and project requirements.
t
Identify and address any issues related to materials, such as defects or non-compliance, and
recommend corrective action plan.
t
Provide technical support and guidance throughout the construction process to ensure
materials are used effectively and efficiently.
t
Execute any other morally reasonable assignments to meet the exigencies of service.

Qualifications:

Degree in Civil Engineering or any related field
t
Valid ERB practising certificate
t
Valid Class B driver’s license
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years in bituminous paved roadways and road works construction
