Job Description
Purpose
A Senior Planner is responsible for increasing sales growth and profitability through strategic planning and analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Responsible for store allocations and works directly with Buyer and Merchandise & Planning Manager to achieve strategic goals.
• Works directly with suppliers to exchange orders, sales data and item availability information.
• Manage, train and mentor Buying Administrators, Allocators and Trainee planners and Buyers.
• Sales planning and forecasting
• Works directly with suppliers sharing orders, information on sales plans, performance metrics, and gathering data on item availability
• Manage tasks and responsibilities within cross-functional teams and cultivate networks across divisions and functions to improve business processes; ensure honest, direct and ethics in dealing with others (Shipping, Finance, Marketing, Warehouse, Ops, HR, Store Design, Property etc.)
Minimum Requirements & Experience
• Degree in Business/ Finance /Merchandising or related field
• Previous experience as Planner is of advantage
• Experience of 5 – 7 years in retail planning, merchandising, inventory management or financial analysis
• Proven knowledge and expertise with the industry or products sold by the company
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft excel, and data analysis.
