OPERATIONS MANAGER
This is a great opportunity for an Operations Manager with proven management, organisational and leadership skills, accounting and administrative experience to lead and coordinate the delivery of business-critical local/ regional/global projects and provide day-to-day management of operations and work quality.
The Roles
As the Operations Manager, you will ensure that Publicis’ global best practices and standards are consistently applied in daily operations and delivered on client accounts. The ideal candidate will lead and nurture a dynamic, youthful, and expanding company. Given our significant presence in a uniquely challenging and demanding industry, prior experience in a similar environment is essential.
Your Profile
The best candidate must be capable of and have the following key attributes:
• The ability to engage with prominent global advertising networks is crucial to ensuring that Publicis’ global network best practices and standards are consistently applied and delivered on client accounts.
• Collaborate closely and maintain effective working relationships with Senior Leadership, Business Unit Leaders, and the Global Network to resource and expand clients’ businesses.
• Facilitate the delivery of medium-to-high impact local and international projects, maintaining close communication with clients and stakeholders to effectively convey the financial status of accounts at a campaign level.
• Proficiency in managing and monitoring international and not-for-profit projects.
• Liaise with the Global Network to gather new ideas and trends, applying them locally as appropriate.
• Ensure the Agency complies with applicable local, regional, and international regulations, maintaining company registration with government and external stakeholders (e.g., Publicis Africa).
• Handle EMEA monthly reporting.
• Lead the development of business cases for new ventures, advertising project management, facilitation, and appraisal, including strategic business alliances, account pitches, contract renewals, and retentions.
• Oversee and manage internal controls, recruitment, marketing, technical, and administrative operations.
• Manage and oversee teams working with global/ regional clients on projects and campaigns, leveraging your ability to influence them successfully for project success.
• Ensure the profitable delivery of work for client portfolios.
• Mentor the internal team to enhance their understanding and approach to supporting their goals and daily output.
Your Minimum Experience, Qualifications
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification, along with at least 10 years of relevant working experience, demonstrating a proven track record in senior management within an advertising agency environment.
• A Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree is highly desirable.
• Experience in an accounting environment is advantageous.
• Experience working within a global network communications agency and managing donor- funded projects is essential.
• Proficiency in managing and monitoring not-for- profit project budgets is an added advantage.
