Senior Tyre Technician – MP Mining

Job Description

• Developing and reviewing Tyre Maintenance Programs as per OEM guidelines.
• Planning and scheduling tyre changeouts
• Managing day to day tyre maintenance activities, ensuring tyre rotation, wheel nuts correct torque, correct tyre pressures and correct tyre match
• Tyre cost allocation to equipment and cost saving initiatives
• Issues and obtains all relevant permits necessary to carry out maintenance tasks.
• Provide feedback to Planning Department on tasks completed to ensure that equipment maintenance history is captured and documented correctly.
• Develop & maintain work packages for Preventative Maintenance Tasks
• Above all, focusing on continuous improvement of tyre maintenance efficiency
• Tyre record keeping and stock taking
• Tools management and control
• Tyre bay housekeeping
• For Supervision and coordinating of all tyre related activities – reporting to Workshop Manager
• Attends to all administrative functions of the position, taking cognizance of the need to create a clear audit trail.

Minimum Requirements:

• National Craft Certificate (NCC) in Automotive field
• 4 years post qualifying experience and 2 years on a Tyre Workshop
• Driver’s license – Class B
