Job Description
- Developing and reviewing Tyre Maintenance Programs as per OEM guidelines.
- Planning and scheduling tyre changeouts
- Managing day to day tyre maintenance activities, ensuring tyre rotation, wheel nuts correct torque, correct tyre pressures and correct tyre match
- Tyre cost allocation to equipment and cost saving initiatives
- Issues and obtains all relevant permits necessary to carry out maintenance tasks.
- Provide feedback to Planning Department on tasks completed to ensure that equipment maintenance history is captured and documented correctly.
- Develop & maintain work packages for Preventative Maintenance Tasks
- Above all, focusing on continuous improvement of tyre maintenance efficiency
- Tyre record keeping and stock taking
- Tools management and control
- Tyre bay housekeeping
- For Supervision and coordinating of all tyre related activities – reporting to Workshop Manager
- Attends to all administrative functions of the position, taking cognizance of the need to create a clear audit trail.
Minimum Requirements:
- National Craft Certificate (NCC) in Automotive field
- 4 years post qualifying experience and 2 years on a Tyre Workshop
- Driver’s license – Class B
