REPORTS TO: Senior Mobile Optimisation Engineer
OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB
• Maintain mobile network performance as per the contracted KPIs for accessibility,
customer retention, mobility, and service integrity.
• Responsible for testing the radio performance for newly integrated sites.
• Work closely with Infrastructure Developers and a variety of end users to ensure
technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
• Responsible for preventing network congestion and call drops by optimising IRAT
handovers, spectrum use and scrambling codes.
QUALIFICATION
Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, IT or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
Five (5) years professional Experience in the field of mobile telecommunications network
planning.
PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP/CERTIFICATION
ERB certified.
Membership of a relevant professional body will be an added advantage (IEEE, BIE, etc.)
