REPORTS TO: Core Network Manager
OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB
• Responsible for operation and maintenance of a high-quality service of core
networks for voice and data services, always ensuring high performance on all
systems to meet customer satisfaction targets.
• Lead the team in core network operations, planning, review and modernizing the
network.
• Provide effective technical support to SV Core Engineers, assistant engineers, and
technicians.
• Continually provide quality improvements within the voice & data units’ core operations.
QUALIFICATION
Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
Specialised training in Telecommunications.
EXPERIENCE
Six (6) years experience in maintaining Core switching units, two (2) years of which should be
as Senior Engineer.
PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP
ERB Compliant.
Membership of a professional association will be an added advantage (BIE, IEEE, etc).
