Job Description

BOTSWANA ASH SHUTDOWN AND PLANT MAINTENANCE – MAY 2024
Botswana Ash (Pty) Ltd is a Soda Ash and Salt producing Company situated at Sua Pan in Botswana, approximately 180 km by tarred road northwest of Francistown. The Company will hold its Major Plant Maintenance Shutdown beginning of May 2024.
The Company is looking for experienced and qualified Technicians, Artisans and Semi- Skilled Artisans in the following Trade:

• RIGGING

Job Summary
To carry out plant maintenance repairs and critical equipment overhauls within a specified time during the major shutdown. The company plant equipment comprises of several types of pumps, compressors, fans/ blowers, isolation and control valves, pipe installations, compactors, crushers, screens, centrifuges, heat exchangers and other specialized process equipment).

Key Performance Areas
■ Maintenance/Repairs of plant equipment
■ Installation/Fitting of such equipment
■Troubleshooting and analytical skill on above listed equipment
■Safely carrying out day to day services for the plant

Requirements
■ Ideally “0” levels or equivalent plus recognised 4 years Trade Apprenticeship (NCC) in any of the trades above.
■ 4 years post qualification experience preferably in a heavy industrial plant environment.
■ Past experience on major shutdown at Botswana Ash shall be an added advantage

NB: For Supervisory positions candidates must have at least an NCC Certificate or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years work experience, three of which should have been at a supervisory level. Experience in Shutdowns would be an added advantage.
