Contracts Manager (Project Based) – Bango Trading

Job Description

Bango Trading (Pty) is engaged in the construction and general maintenance of bitumen paved roads including new constructions & surfacing works with its Head Office in Phakalane Industrial urgently requires the services of the following personnel for the various road building contracts in Botswana:

1. Contracts Manager – Project based (Botswana and Namibia)

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

⦁ Minimum qualifications: – Degree in Civil Engineering
⦁ A minimum of 15 (fifteen) years + experience as a Contracts Manager on roads and civil construction-related projects
⦁ Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
⦁ Valid Driver’s license
⦁ Contactable reference of previous employers
⦁ Declaration of income (i.e. payslip) from previous employer
⦁ Salary scale: Negotiable depending on experience
⦁ Knowledgeable in FIDIC (Red Book) based contracts.

⦁ Completion of task in time and of good quality
⦁ Attention to detail orientated.

DUTIES IN BRIEF:

(Subject to addition after/during appointment)
⦁ Construction programming and carrying out
⦁ Apply principles for monitoring and controlling minor and major activities
⦁ Detailed project planning plus cash flow projections
⦁ Manage Project Managers, Site agents and their teams
⦁ Set objectives together with site teams and ensure they are exceeded
⦁ Ensure optimal resource allocation and management
⦁ Resolve contractual matters with the stake holders
⦁ Facilitate project closure and handover
