Job Description

Job Summary:  

Implements the internal and external communication strategies and Public Relations quality assurance programme in accordance with set governance protocols and principles.

 

Key Activities:

  • Analyses the divisional area’s financial needs to develop a budget and ensures sufficient financial resources to meet business needs.
  • Develops, manages and controls allocated funds and operates within approved parameters.
  • Implements Brand Management process to guide internal stakeholders in the use of company brand.
  • Creates and maintains excellent company image through living and promoting the MCM values.
  • Reviews and monitors the effectiveness of Public Relations and internal communication platforms and makes recommendations to management.
  • Manages and coordinates internal and external stakeholder events in line with Public and Corporate Affairs frameworks.
  • Develops and manages content and placement for all advertising and promotional materials in line with corporate communication plan and brand standards.
  • Identifies and manages the implementation of and adherence to legal and corporate governance principles/requirements.
  • Manages and coordinates the implementation of safety, health and environmental programme in area of responsibility.
  • Identifies and implements creative and innovative ideas to continuously improve and sustain business performance.
  • Manages the implementation of the talent management initiatives in area of responsibility by ensuring the right competence and effectiveness of manpower (capacity building) through developing and implementing career, succession, training, and development plans.
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with all key stakeholders and partners to ensure achievement of business objectives.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: 

  • Degree in Public Relations/Communications or related field
  • 8 years’ experience in Communications or Public Relations with 3 years at supervisory level.
  • Understanding of SHE Management Systems (ISO 14001 and 45001)
