Purpose of the Role
- Manages the delivery of client service functions, including strategy, support for business development, quality of service and operations
- Manages, co-ordinates and controls the Information Management processes, relationships, practices, functions and activities to achieve the Operational goals and targets in alignment to the Debswana operating model, standards and process maturity,
Key Job Responsibilities
- Interprets operational requirements and integrates with discipline base financial needs to ensure availability of financial resources to meet business objectives
- Manages and controls allocated funds and operates within approved parameters
- Builds and leverages relationships with System Owners, IM technical leads and functional leads and counter-parts and secures cross functional / operations cooperation.
- Contacts and engages with key stakeholders and understands requirements imposed by internal and external stakeholders.
- Possesses superior leadership and communication abilities and is able to influence key stakeholders.
- Identifies risk root causes and can quantify potential business impact. Implements solutions to reduce level of exposure
- Have proactive relationships with supplier executives
- Has comprehensive understanding of suppliers influence on our enterprise.
- Is able to drive issues to resolution through leveraging of the partnership relationship.
- Participates and provides significant input into the IM and Business Unit strategy development process.
- Manages strategic initiatives and leads governance forums
- Performs continuous review to align with the changing business.
- Benchmarks functional and work process and links business process to business strategy.
- Understands future and technology trends
- Develops and maintains Enterprise Architecture Policies and Standards
- Formulates the organization’s architecture strategy, roadmap, standards, policies and procedures, and governance
- Develop architecture requirements and maintain oversight
- Manages quality and continuous improvement of technical architecture
- Manages the ecosystem-wide technical and business discussions in respect to future enterprise direction
- Approve modification of enterprise architecture to meet project needs
- Leads and facilitate the development of governing principles to guide enterprise architecture decision making and provide input into the governance forums
- Leads a small team, applies approved PM methodology, and manages budget, schedule and scope
- Leads the development of software and data delivery platforms with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different business
- Takes idea from concept to proof of concept and then to pilot.
- Completes a number of project lifecycles with responsibility for a small team
- Manages a portfolio of services in a single domain, holds suppliers to account on SLAs, liaises with solutions design and architecture to ensure roadmaps are followed and services are introduced with excellence
- Develop plans and assess improvement options
- Coordinates and monitors the implementation of safety, health and environmental programs in area of responsibility taking cognizance of all legal requirements.
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Information and Communication Technology or Business Area Degree (Finance, Mining, Geology e.t.c)
Experience
8 years post-graduate experience of which 3 years should have been at lower management level
