WEARE HIRING
INBOUND AND WILDERNESS MEMBER’S CLUB SALES
To be responsible for all aspects of external sales to the Inbound Market (established and new agents across Southern Africa and potentially East Africa), the Wilderness Members Club and to grow the business from these markets.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
⦁ To manage all sales activities/ responsibilities relating to identified and assigned South Africa Inbound trade partners and Wilderness Members Sales across all countries where the company operates lodges. Assess present business (and future opportunities) and implement a documented strategy to assist and create a sustainable & reliable business base, including good future growth.
⦁ Attend Trade Shows when and where required, e.g. Indaba as well as other suitable consumer events.
⦁ To assist with growing tour operators’ and Member’s product knowledge & facilitating the booking process.
⦁ To work closely with the marketing team from a sales perspective to develop a strategy around agent and Member events.
⦁ Administration
⦁ Operator visits & reporting
⦁ Generate brand awareness; sales through familiarisation trips and hosted agent and consumer evenings.
⦁ Grow and manage the relationship with select Inbound Trade magazines and marketing mediums (websites etc).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
⦁ Bachelor of Commerce in Tourism & Hospitality Management
⦁ Computer Literate (Microsoft Office, email, Internet).
⦁ Proven English literacy – written and oral. Working knowledge of Excel.
⦁ Working knowledge of Wilderness Window, Tour Plan and WISH or similar booking/ operating system is advantageous. Personal or educational travel experience.
⦁ Inbound sales experience (both relationship management at an account level plus reservations team management) is advantageous
⦁ Product knowledge in the Member’s space is a hugely important and exceptional product knowledge is a key requirement for this role.
⦁ Prior experience having worked in camps will be advantageous in this regard.
⦁ 10 years’ experience in the travel & tourism industry at a senior level. Experience in
handling customer relationships and developing & promoting product and services in the inbound travel industry.
⦁ Experience with Wilderness is beneficial.

⦁ Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Ability to conclude sales ensuring maximum agent and guest satisfaction and business results.
⦁ Good public speaking/presentation skills are essential as the incumbent will be required to present publicly – including building and customizing presentations.
⦁ Service and result-orientated. Self-starter with high energy levels. Accuracy in service offering.
⦁ Organized, methodical, systems-based and good time management skills.
⦁ Ability to work with detail whilst under pressure and takes pride in maintaining zero error.
⦁ A positive, solution-oriented mindset, coupled with a highly positive outlook about the company, its vision and policies
⦁ Prepared to go the extra mile and input additional time as is necessary to deliver upon responsibilities and functions effectively. The ability to act as a bridge-builder in a time of conflict, acting with humility, maturity, and situational sensitivity
